Our Lady of the Lakes School has a curriculum that encompasses the core subjects of reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, science, spelling, phonics and religion. Specialist teachers are employed in music, art, physical education and computer/technology (1 days per week). Class sizes are kept small to ensure optimum teacher to student ratio.

Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Grade School works in cooperation with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and the Department of Public Instruction to develop and maintain strict academic standards that not only coincide with the state standards, but also uphold the high standards traditionally associated with a Catholic education. This school prides itself on its integration of the faith into all curricular areas.

We are very fortunate at Our Lady of the Lakes School to have co-pastors, Fr. Dick Fleischman and Fr. Todd Budde. They provide our weekly school Mass, and they also take part in special ceremonies throughout the school year.

All teachers and administrators are required to continue with their education in order to maintain their licenses. Teachers at the school are also required to maintain a Religious Education Certification. The teachers incorporate new education concepts along with the tried and proven ones into their classroom learning experiences.

Every year third and fifth grade students from Our Lady of the Lakes School are given the IOWA Basics test. These scores indicate that our students receive a quality education that prepares them well for the future.

All students are in multi-aged classes. This allows for the students to prepare for the middle school by adapting to more than one teacher, needing to be organized and becoming more accountable. Our children truly develop their faith, which remains with them forever.

Our fifth graders, along with the fifth graders of other Sheboygan city and county Catholic schools spend two days at Camp Vista in the Kettle Moraine area for an outdoor educational experience. A wide variety of educational, social, and religious activities are planned. Students are housed in cabins, and supervised by teachers and parents.
